TRIP PREP: Stage 2 - Emgo Universal Low Rise Bars

In further preparation for our upcoming trip around Lake Michigan I've swapped out the clubman bars for some Emgo Universal low rise units. I decided I didn't feel like cafe racing it 800 miles around the lake. I've only taken the bike out for about 30 minutes since the swap but the comfort and control over the clubmans is astounding. I may never go back, but if I do I think it will be for some clip-ons.

  1. While admittedly the front 3/4 view doesn't look as sexy as it did with the clubmans, it certainly looks more comfortable. And overall, the bike still looks great!

  2. What kind of clubmans were those, if you don't mind me asking? These bars look nice as well. And, for long riding, your wrists will thank you.

  3. I went with a pair just like these on my gs1000. They are a super comfortable alternative to clubmans. They definitely look better than the buckhorns that I was using before.

  4. This looks great! What tires are those? Not the k70s you had before, right? And what size suspension did you use on the rear?
This looks like the best bike I've seen in a long time.
