CX500: Off To The Races

  1. What was your procedure for lowering your front forks? Just loosen up the fork clamps and slide it up? Or did you remove the wheel, and scoot each fork up one at a time? Can you give some pointers? I had tried to scoot the forks up when I redid the seals, but it felt like there was a stop built into the fork tubes, and they wouldn't go past the top tree easily.

    1. They're moved up an inch in the triple clamps and are running Progressive fork springs with Belray 20W oil.

  2. Is that the stock tank? It's gorgeous and the shape is perfect. Also how dissimilar is the cx frame from the cm frame?

    1. Yes, stock tank on the Deluxe and Standard models. The Custom model is different. Frame is completely different from the CM.

  3. Nice color! I got a scooter when I was a kid, and my scooter forks before are vintage colors. But my favorite was the gray one.
