I had never seen a shaft driven bicycle before now. Fixie hipsters eat your heart out.

    Thanks again! You should have been there (would have been a 5 hour drive for you I think though). There were a couple of frames and shafts for these bikes for sale. I was very, very tempted. Luckily I am broke ;)

    there is a mint condition one of these at the cycle smithy shop on clark between fullerton and wrightwood.
