    Saw you were planning on putting leather in place of the rubber. My gf just finished upholstering the custom leather knee pads for my tank. I cant wait to get them on. We just cleared out our stockpiles of leathers at work so she's been working on all kinds of leather stuff for the bike. Good luck finding the tank.
